Close our eyes
When’s the last time we slowed down, took a breath, and felt our inner world?
Chances are
If we don’t practice meditation, then we probably haven’t done the above in a while…
So let’s do a little exercise:
Close our eyes, take a few deep breaths, and imagine us leaning forward without actually leaning forward
It’s almost like a bunch of energy bound up in front of us pushing in a forward direction
What if we could walk through life like that every day? Every second?
That may be how we act with urgency, with direction, with purpose
And that’s an ideal world
Because practically things come up, we get emotional, there’s a million other things going on than to feel our inner energy slightly pushed forward
But what if we could just spend a small percentage of our attention on that inner energy?
A benefit of doing this may be that we can think before speaking or acting – choosing our responses instead of reacting.
And no matter what, we can change – we just have to want too.
