A sign just shows us the direction we need to go. Words are like signposts.
Yes there’s definitions – but sometimes we don’t know the true meaning of a word and use it incorrectly
When that happens, instead of being caught up on the words, proving someone wrong, maybe we can focus on the concept being conveyed instead?
“You don’t know what the word means, your not using it right – this word is better”
“I understand, just so I’m clear, is this what you’re saying?”
There’s a difference.
