367. Balancing act 

We want balance in the world 

“Spend a little time here, here, and here. Then we’ll feel balanced” 

But that’s not realistic. There’s too much to do, not enough time in the day – we spread ourselves too thin, get burned out, overwhelmed, worry..

Counterbalancing may be a better goal. It creates focus. 

Spending a serious amount of time at work, getting our tasks done 

Then in our free time, we can do the rest of our list. 

And it helps if our “free time wants” are only a few things because we only have so much time in the day. 

We can’t swim with dolphins, jump off volcanos, race in between pyramids, and climb Mount Everest in one day, impossible. 

We can be healthy, engage in fitness, and show love to our people in one day, that’s possible.
