505. Our most prized possession

If someone punched us in the face, what would we do back?

Most likely fight back, protect ourselves

The same goes if someone pushed us, touched us, or tried to control where we are going

But what about our minds? We’re less disciplined in this sense

Because we just hand it over willingly almost, not giving it a second thought

To television, to social media, to what others are doing or saying

We sit down with our friends and families and the phones get pulled out within minutes

We judge others as they pass by

And most of the time we aren’t even aware that we’re doing this

It’s a waste, ineffective – and the reality is no one is making us do these things , it’s self inflicted

Our bodies – their temporary , we could be thrown in jail or lose an arm.

Our minds – that’s ours. We must protect it , it’s our most prized possession
