673. A skill that I need to work on

when we say yes to something, we say no to something else. Here are some random examples off the top: 

Yes to going out means no to getting work done 

Or yes to working out means no gardening

yes to mediating means no to distraction 

Or Yes to reading, no to gossiping 

Yes to walking the dog, no to eating icecream 

when we say yes to something, we’re making a commitment. 

Yes to giving a hand means being there on time 

Sometimes we say yes off the cuff, not really thinking about it.  

And if we can just think for a second: using that gap between stimulus and response, to think before we act

would we still say yes?
