The arch pain, thats gonna be a form of plantar fasciitis – the runners plague.
I think everyone i talked to deals w that at some point.
I had a battle w that issue, and I’d recommend stretching that arch out daily if you want that to get better…
sit on your toes type of thing, even long holds like that, a few seconds to a few minutes.
Then you want to slowly strengthen them by doing different types of “arch crunches”
This second part is the key, not only stretching the arches – but strengthening them too.
I mean – have you ever heard someone say “I have foot day at the gym today”? No it just doesn’t happen, usually it’s major muscle groups.
And that’s where we mess up, because our bodies aren’t composed of just major muscle groups.
There’s tendons, joints, ligaments…
And they all need to be worked too.
Those two things were probably the best investment I’ve made into my running career.
