it’s from a lack of salt.
I’ll drink about 30 or 40 oz of water before a race or long run and put about 1000 mg of sodium in that jawn.
I probably drink that much water each morning, minus the salt.
There’s a product I also use called LMNT. I really only use that for races ($) Otherwise I just crack white Himalayan salt into my water bottle, maybe some lemon juice too.
They even have salt pills with about 200 mg of sodium, they have a time to – like in a pinch at an aid station.
I take salt before during and after. During is about 500 – 1000 mg per hour.
