755. Running 200 miles: 7 week recovery update

Update on recovery block: 7 weeks in 

Shin is 98% healed. It seemed like the outside of my shin – the tibialis anterior was wound up into a bunch knots. Twisted tight like a towel wound up to whip someone. 

The top of my foot near my ankle and the lower part of my shin was during the race and a few weeks after buckeye. 

Once that loosened up though it seemed the pain – the knots – moved up to the mid to high shin area, not the knee though. 

The human body is amazing and am happy to be almost healed up. 

Taking it easy until january – then going to slowly start to ramp up this years training program – Hyner 50k is on April 22.

January will be a real easy month, maybe getting up to 35 miles on week 3. More vert. 2,000 and maybe add 1,000 feet each week. 

The rest of the year is building on the previous month. 

It all starts now.
