Think of someone trying to catch a rabbit – most people try to chase it and end up rabbit-less.
Or maybe a tugboat vs a lighthouse. Tugboats are tough. Maybe pushing and yanking yachts. Lighthouses shine bright and show people the way. How many people do you know who act like tugboats vs lighthouses?
See, most people try to find the person of their dreams the same way they go about chasing a rabbit or acting like the tugboat.
And it usually doesn’t work.
What if instead of chasing the rabbit, we outsmarted the rabbit – baited it in , and then trapped it.
We’ll, we wouldn’t do that to the person of our dreams….
Or what if instead we acted like the lighthouse?
The concept of this all is the lens we’re looking through.
We could set out pieces of “bait” : a smile, a kind act, a few invites, a few hangouts – not within the span of hours or days – but over a time, a few weeks or months?
And it continues more and more.
Trust is built, we become a thing. (“Trapped” – not in a bad way just to go off the rabbit analogy )
We could focus on ourselves, becoming the best version. Chasing the goals we’ve thought long and hard about. Answered difficult questions. Swallowed bitter pills and faced the truth. Becoming the best version of ourselves.
And if we can do that?
Eventually that person of our dreams will appear.
It only makes sense and it’s only a matter of time.
What are ya waiting for ?
