Here’s a quick liner: First four weeks just run, walk, or a mix of both. Spend time on your feet, that’s it – “30 min” “mile a day” – building confidence.
So start with just running.
Go out for however long each day, something easily doable.
A mile minimum each day is great because it forces us to do at least a mile. Every day.
We can do more if we want
Because some days are easier than others – we’re short on time, don’t feel like it, other obligations, whatever…
A mile may take us 20 minutes to walk the entire time.
It doesn’t matter how fast we go, as long as we get it done.
It sounds so silly but then an amazing thing starts to happen.
Eventually, the habit starts to form.
We start to run faster, longer
We start to enjoy running because we can see results- how we are progressing.
Starting small.
