Knowing what we want really is the key to life.
We just got back from a camping trip, it was a blast
On the way home we were talking about heading to the shore, we love the water. The ass in the sand, hearing the waves crash, seeing the sky and ocean meet.
The camping trip was great, we’re there for a race and it kicked my ass
It just made us realize that if we wanted to go to the shore, we could have just went to the shore.
If we liked the shore better then we liked camping in the woods – why keep camping in the woods?
And that’s how most people live.
They hate their job but they stay in that job for years on end.
They hate their family or friends but continue to show up, even if it always ends in a fight or sets them back
You can change jobs
You don’t have to spend time with family
You can do whatever you want
But that’s the thing, most people really don’t know what they want
They go through life, the motions, and it’s like Groundhog Day – the same thing happening over and over
You can change, but nothing changes if nothing changes
