External things are not the problem, it’s our assessment of them that we can erase right now.
It doesn’t matter what happens on the outside, we can always control how we view situations
That doesn’t mean we have to accept every situation though.
Thrown in jail? Okay well, we won’t be able to get out until our time is up. That’s a fact.
But what about our job? We don’t like it – got it. Can we change our perceptions? Everyone may be annoying at work, but this just gives us time to work on our patience and get paid for it…
The difference between jail and work is that, work we can change jobs – there are always people hiring, In jail – it’s a little harder to change the reality of the day-to-day
Sometimes, we can change the outer world, sometimes we can only control the inner world and how we’re talking to ourselves.
