Managers are responsible for the operations of a business
It could be actual operations, part of an operation, the financials, consulting – all things related to business where there is some form of responsibility to manage people.
so what type of manager are you?
The gopher? do this, do that
The leader? with a loyal following – this is proven to eventually lead to success
The police officer? always looking for a ‘crime’ to make right – the second someone does something you negate them vs the leader who would handle it with a little more tact….
How can the owner keep tabs on their managers? Checks and balances.
Get feedback from the bottom employees: how is this person managing the restaurant? People are good at putting on a show, of showing only what they want the right person to see.. but what does everyone else see?
The info gained just by this one exercise could be useless, or it could be some of the most valuable bits of info given…
