1126. Long game

The newbie all fired up, doing a million things

Why do they get burned out?

I feel like most of the time people do too much too soon.

The new business owner had their eyes set on every opportunity

The new runner signs up for every race

But the long game always wins.

If the biz owner had their focus narrowed down to one or two things, maybe they’ll still be around in however many years vs getting burned out bc their focus was everywhere but where it needed to be.

The runner runs 15 races their first year, but then doesn’t make it five years into the sport, while the old vet has been running 3 races per year for 30 years – Injury free

People want to get rich today, but won’t take the little sacrifices now to make getting rich a reality. To stop spending on things in order to save more and invest more for the future even planning for the future.

Any other examples?
