What a time to be alive. This place is TOP NOTCH and located right here in northeast.
We did the works: compression therapy, sauna/ red light, and cold plunge.
Our favorite was the normatec compression (700$ piece of equipment) –
“Normatec compression therapy has gained recognition as an effective tool for accelerating the recovery process and preventing future injuries. By increasing oxygenated blood flow to the muscles and reducing swelling, it promotes tissue repair and regeneration.”
After a solid ultramarathon training block, this is exactly what I needed. Going into these my legs felt heavy and used, after this, my legs feel solid and 1000% ready to go.
Chris shot the shit with us as we were getting our legs compressed, it felt like we were at a family house or something.
The sauna and red light therapy was dope too. It heated us from the inside out. Sauna benefits include easing pain, reducing stress, and improving cardiovascular health. Sweating has long been used as a therapy, and we sweated believe that. I sat in a deep squat for a good portion of this session, and Corie did some stretches too. It was a great to be able to quiet the mind and prepare for the cold plunge.
The cold plunge was electric and had us wired for hours after the session.
What a beautiful time.
I definitly plan to go back, there’s something about this recovery stuff and I’m all about it. Maybe not every week, but damn near every month, especially before or after a big effort.
Thanks homies.
