1156. We could also do it later

When we feel like doing something selfish, indulgent, hurtful or short-term, we can simply decide to do it later.

And when it occurs to us that we might be able to make a useful contribution or do something important, perhaps we could do it now.

When we feel like doing something unproductive, hurtful, or short term style thinking

  • scroll social media
  • argue
  • watch TV
  • add any number of distractions

we can decide to do it later. (and later and never come)

and when we might be able to make a useful contribution to do something important or something we’ve been putting off, maybe we could do it now, or plan to do it. (later can come sooner then we think)

it’s like putting stuff in the ‘saved for later’ section of our amazon cart, later doesn’t need to come

unless we want it to, or it’s worth it, or it’s meaningful.
