1194. Race day

Today is race day and I’m currently running the C and O 100 mile race. I have this post scheduled out, but here’s some things I like to remind myself on race day:

Stay present

Focused

Know why you want to run far

When shit goes sideways just hang on long enough, it always passes.

Pay attention:

  • Physically – how does my body feel
  • Internally – how is my gut? Am I consuming enough calories, salt, and water?
  • Mentally – how is my thought pattern?

Fall back on your training. That’s going to get you to the finish line.
