Life is all about figuring it out
Murphy’s law is a law for a reason “anything that can go wrong will go wrong”
And that’s one of our jobs on this Earth – figuring things out
Can’t pay the bills? Got to figure it out
Making too much money that you know what to do with? Figure it out
Boss isn’t treating you right? Figure it out
Overweight or have some sort of disease or sickness? Figure it out. Change your diet and start exercising.
Free time? Figure out what you going to do with it – build something or go for a walk
Bad habits? Figure out how to break them – replace them with something empowering.
See life is just a bunch of figuring it out until we no longer are here
Instead of running away from the figuring it out, we can embrace it
How we figure something out, different options have different results
Figuring out what to do with your free time…
Do you just watch TV or do something productive like working out or studying?
Over the course of 3, 5, 10 years – these two people will have drastically different results in their lives
And only we can pay for our own consequences and live with the decisions we make.
The easy thing to do now, we’ll pay for it later.
The hard thing to do now, will make things easier later.
The choice is ours – what’s it going to be?
A way to stay on the path that we want to stay on is to know what we want.
What do we want? Most people can’t answer that
Just like in a car, if you don’t know where you are going, where are you going to go?
You usually have a starting point and an endpoint – we’re driving from Philly to LA
We know where we are going, then we start making our way.
It’s not a straight shot though, there will be detours, going out of the way, maybe we want to go off route to see the grand canyon or the Rockies
But eventually, we end up at our end goal – in this case LA
That’s how life goes, once we know where we want to go – let’s say it’s to achieve financial freedom then we can start making our way
Maybe we do some detours, get distracted – spend money on things we don’t need to impress people we don’t like or an emergency comes up – it’s not a straight shot.
But eventually we end up where we want to get too, it’s all because we knew where we were going.
Having accountability is another step to the puzzle, to help us where we want to get too – faster or more efficiently.
Someone who we can bounce ideas off of, get different perspectives, and to keep us on course
The path isn’t always easy – being on the hook never is, it leaves room for failure, but it’s worth it
And it’s the only way to get what we want.
Final Thoughts
Life is a continuous journey of figuring things out. Whether it’s financial struggles, health issues, or personal growth, we are constantly faced with challenges that demand our problem-solving abilities. The key to navigating through these obstacles lies in embracing the process of “figuring it out” – facing situations head on – versus running away from it.
Recognizing that the choices we make today will shape our future is crucial. While the easy path may seem tempting, it often comes with consequences down the line. On the other hand, taking the more difficult route, though challenging in the moment, can pave the way for a smoother journey ahead.
To stay on the path we want, we have to have a clear vision of what we want to achieve. Just as a traveler needs a destination to navigate, having well-defined goals allows us to make informed decisions and course corrections along the way. Accountability from trusted individuals can help us with invaluable support, offering fresh perspectives and helping us stay on track.
The path to our desired outcomes isn’t really a straight line. It is filled with detours, distractions, and unexpected challenges. However, by embracing the process of “figuring it out,” staying focused on our goals, and seeking support when needed, we can overcome these obstacles and reach our desired goals.
The choice is ours – will we succumb to the easy path, or will we courageously embark on the journey of “figuring it out,” paving the way towards a fulfilling and purposeful life? The rewards of embracing this mindset are immense, and the call to action is clear: let us wholeheartedly embrace the art of “figuring it out” and unlock our true potential.
A lot of food for thought 🤔
I’ve bookmarked this.
Indeed the choice is ours!
