Because when it comes to this – operating at the highest level – input doesn’t equal output. The entire point of competition is to beat it out at the highest level, the extremes, the last few steps or seconds.

Some things to remember:
- What’s your edge? Where are you in the sweet spot of the curve of competition? A spot where more prep, more focus, more effort will lead to better results. That means if the competition is being unreasonable, then walk away.
- Embrace the unreasonable.
- Accept that others will accept unreasonable too, and act accordingly.
While the unreasonableness is a buzz, it’s difficult to build a long lasting, sustainable career around it.
