Travel is like education. Real travel. Not the two-week (too weak) vacations but extended travel. Enough time to get out of old ways, to experience a new culture or way of living.

- 2022: 3 months in tampa
- 2024: 2 months America
2024 “mini r” is two weeks away. it’ll be here fast and quick, a blink of an eye – but we’ve slowly been getting ready.
being a planner works really well for us in this case. Planning what where doing (loosely) what we’re bringing, what the point of it is. We’ve worked off a simple checklist and spend about 30 minutes per day chipping away at these items.
- getting gear ordered and prepped
- packed up
- the car prepped
- the house prepped
it all adds up. we’d rather be ready, early by a few days, then rush around to leave, for what?
Looking forward to this time off because when we get back, we plan on working the next few years until our next mini-R comes around…
