It’s how you do everything. Go over the top, deliver only in some things?
It makes sense on the surface, but when push comes to shove, you’ll cut corners anywhere.
Tell the world what you will do, but show it first. It goes a long way. Now-a-days its fancy to put yourself out there, to set big goals and tell the world..
for what? accountability? why not just keep accountability with those close to you? why tell 1000 strangers?
because ego?
What matters is, do you do it or not – not who you tell.
I applied to a job back in april, took a test in june, and finally have an interview scheduled for august. How can I give myself an edge? dress nice, prepare answers to possible questions, bring along a creditability packet, maybe even bring a sticker? to stick with the interviewers…
the point is to do something to be remembered, because the other way is to show up like everyone else, and hope we get the job.
