1340. South side Nooga and next moves

I woke up early today, 5 am. I don’t know why I keep waking up early, I must have something on my mind. What is it?

I did my routine and jumped into some finances, to balance the books out. Are our refunds coming in?

Not that it matters, we budgeted for these things – and it wasn’t expensive, why am I thinking about this?

Our blue ridge parkway roadtrip is in shambles. Helene destroyed most of the blue ridge and our campgrounds got canceled. Most of them anyway. What do we do? We’ll figure that out later today, for now I need to focus on the present moment and what I can do.

Savers morning routine,

  • Silence
  • Affirmations
  • Visualizations
  • Exercise
  • Read
  • Scribe

Not in that order

I go down and get some instant coffee, it sucks but it does the job, especially because it’s hot. It goes to show that hot coffee > good coffee. Champy has his cheat meal of 2 pancakes

By the time I get back the family is awake, and I start to get ready for my run. 10 miles across Chattanooga

What an exciting run. Getting chased by an off leash dog, running on a shoulder that’s not even 6 inches wide, running along a cement border,, through the city and killer park – this is where the rough hangs – across walnut bridge too Coolidge park.

This is where I meet up with my family, we park up and I get squared up. Get I to some civilian clothes and some food and liquids down.

We stop at stone cup and grab some ice coffee; it’s not chai latte but it’s damn good. They give us a free pin too, we’ve been collecting stickers and it’s wild how many coffee shops don’t have stickers.

It’s all love. We explore this section of Chattanooga for about 2 hours and make our way to the Chattanooga market, a farmers market that gets put on every Sunday.

Such. A. Cool. Vibe.

Bigger than a normal farmers market, almost like the reading terminal market back at home, just with pop up vendors instead of establishments.

I pick up some lemonade, homemade stickers, Tahini, and micro-greens. I wish I could buy everything there. Some photographers took some epic pics of walnut bridge and had my mouth watering.

We only have so much room.

I get out of there before doing anything stupid or buying anything stupid and make my way back to the family.

We get home, eat some food, and figure out our next moves.

  • Bean salad with tahini and micro-greens
  • Good to go packets

The blue ridge is destroyed and we need to figure out where we are headed, our time in Chattanooga is coming to a close and we leave tomorrow morning.

Some options we see:

  • Rerouting the trip
  • Modifying reservations
  • Coming home early

At this point we’re pretty set on coming home early, not ending the trip early just coming home – and continuing living the Mini R lifestyle; learning exploring and vibing.

We turn on some good cafe vibes, pop open some Chattanooga whisky, and pack the car.

We shower up and time to hang out.

Just livin✌🏽
