A riff off T. Carew at the end of a passage in Walden page 58 onto page 59, criticizing a simple lifestyle in favor of more active and grand virtues.
Any thoughts?

Listen up, you struggling dreamer,
Thinking you’re special ’cause you live simple?
Your tiny apartment or beat-up van doesn’t make you virtuous just ’cause you grow
some herbs or chill by a stream all day.
You’re out here acting all enlightened,
cutting out all the real human emotions
that makes you better? Nah, you’re just numbing yourself,
We aren’t into that forced self-control life,
Or that robotic “don’t feel anything” stoic mindset.
Your fake “I’m so tough, I don’t need anything” act?
We’re not buying it. That weak mentality
Is for those stuck in mediocrity, too afraid to aim higher and comfortable with settling for less.
Life is all about pushing boundaries, you know?
Bold moves, wild generosity, next-level greatness,
Minds that see everything, and courage that knows no limits.
legendary status
We look up to icons like Hercules and Achilles as our role models.
So while your reflecting, rethink your choices, and when you see us rising,
Maybe you’ll finally get what true greatness is about.

Yikes. Trying to find that balance
