it’s not about how you start the race…
Anyone can crush when they’re feeling good.
It’s about how you finish
How do you respond when you don’t want to do something anymore? when the fun is over, the lights are out, no one is watching
Do you keep going? or fall back?
Our mental states can take us so much further then our physical bodies can
It’s the reason why people can run 50, 100, and 200 mile races
The body is beat down and broken half way through, but the mind keeps us going
I’ve related it to running but it can go for anything
- kids
- pets
- a career
- school
- writing a book
- getting a certificate
- doing anything hard
how are we responding when the fun is gone?
how are we sharpening that “I don’t feel like doing it but I do it anyway” muscle?
Stay disciplined and focused on what truly matters
because knowing what matters is only half the battle
It’s not what we know, but what we do with what we know
