True freedom comes from within – it’s not just about external circumstances like choice, food, shelter, and clothing. We can’t even fully control that stuff. It can all be taken away in the blink of an eye.
Freedom is about having control over our own thoughts, beliefs, and actions.
And it’s not easy, it takes hard work to develop the right mindset, overcome limiting beliefs, and take responsibility for our own lives, our own success’. When we free our minds from these self-imposed limitations and ingrained- from- society negative thought patterns, we open the door to a freedom that’s hard to take away, that inner freedom.
This inner freedom can lead to greater external freedom – the ability to make better choices, cover our basic needs, and pursue better ambitions – but it’s not guaranteed. Freedom, true freedom, is more than the accumulation of material wealth like things, money, etc. True freedom is an inner victory, being unshackled from the handcuffs of fear, doubt, and dependence on others.
We can find this true freedom by cultivating self-discipline, persistence, and knowing what we want.
And knowing what we want is half the battle, we gotta then get after what we want, it won’t come through by itself, half hazardly.
The path to freedom is in developing mastery over our own mind and taking full responsibility for our own destiny. We are the artist and our lives are the canvas.
The greatest freedoms are those we create for ourselves.
