1432. Pocket watching

How do you lead your team?

Micromanaging may feel good in the moment, but it causes resentment amongst the team

People don’t like to be told what to do.

Give them a job, and let them get it done

You don’t need to stay there and pocket watch.

Pocket watching to make sure it’s done your way or that the people are doing what they are supposed to be doing (or even more then they are suppose to be doing)

As long as the tasks get done, does it really matter?

2+2 = 4

So does 4×4/4

Give your team a task, and get out of their way.

Yeah, hold them accountable – but that can be done without micromanaging

Tomorrow get this and this done

Better yet,

get this done this week

Did you get that task done?

Yeah? Great, let’s try to do a little more next week.

No? Why not? It was too much, got it. Let’s turn it back a little bit.

Giving people freedom and still holding them accountable.

Of course; what do I know
