“He makes me feel slow”
I heard someone say that as I jogged past them,
It was just a silly comment, but I got to thinking about that concept
My fitness? It wasn’t given. It was earned.
These legs have thousands of miles on them,
My muscles have thousands of reps,
Thousands of hours went into building my body into what it is,
and let’s not forget about all the time it took to learn what I know and to do something about it.
We all know to eat healthy, we all know to workout but how many of us do?
If I had to guess, I’d say only about 20% of people are healthy and Fit.
If you zoom out, that’s still over a billion people (that’s a lot).
But compared to 7 billion? That’s not that much.
This shit wasn’t given. It was earned through hard work and dedication. We believed that we can improve ourselves. We see a goal even when it’s not a reality and persist until it is. Having a plan, executing, falling on our face and figuring it out. Silencing doubts, fears, criticisms, and knowing what we want…
It’s been a journey, one that we commit too, for the long haul.
Just didn’t want that comment to flutter in the wind and to dap every one of you getting after it; however that’s looking in this chapter of life, that is all😤
