Lens’ – we don’t get to pick them but we can question and change them
When we were kids, we learned how to do things from our environment
What do others say, think or do? How do they respond to situations? (and a million others)
Our environment consisted of our parents, family, and some friends.
So in effect our lens growing up – is based off of the lens of these ‘close associates’.
And due to us kids being so innocent, we didn’t question most things.
What if the lens’ we were influenced by growing up were wrong?
Like name calling, avoiding failure, etc.
See, we don’t get to pick our lens’ essentially because we just learn them through daily living
But we can question and change these lens’ whenever we want.
