For some it’s world peace
For others it’s a million dollars
Or the fastest car
And even to have a loving a caring family
Or what about to enjoy life
All great things to want
Similar, but different
Some of these things are outside of our control
Instead of a million dollars
Maybe we could try and spread value to one person today
Or want to be a light to others
What about being the best provider for our families
Or what about having a paid off car – whether it’s the fastest or the most cost efficient
This is matching our needs and wants to what is in our control
It’s the same reason why some highly paid professionals still drive around in their first used car or walk around with a cracked iPhone.
These external things matter little to them, instead they focus on things that are in their control like mastering their craft or being the best person they can be.
