We talk to people everyday, multiple times a day, that’s a fact.
But how many of these conversations are we genuinely listening?
Because most of the time, we try and think of what we’re going to say or how we can better up the person
Pretty much, we do everything but actually listening!
Why is that?
A trick to use to begin to listen more is this:
Listen for the silence in between someone’s words
Or the spaces in between each written word
It’s like looking at that black and white image we saw in grade school
If you look at the black ink on the page it forms two people’s side profile
But if you look at the white it forms a chalice.
Let’s start by genuinely listening to others, then consciously respond in a way that we see fit.
