To some, that’s not even a question
To others, it’s everything
And to me, what’s next is a way to keep life interesting, to keep growing
To challenge myself and achieve goals that i’ve picked for myself
What’s next?
50 mile race with a week notice May 8th 7:30 am start time. Let’s roll. (update: finished the race in just under 9 hours, my first trail 50 miler.)
Why set goals though?
It’s not to put pressure on ourselves (which someone said to me)
It’s about getting better, continuing to grow
“Aim for the moon and you’ll land on the stars”
That’s better than staying on the ground
It’s about striving for something and seeing that goal come to fruition, or the incremental progress being made towards that goal
Overcoming our minds, overcoming what we even thought was possible
To use goal setting as a compass, a gps, for our life and where we want to go, what we want to do and see
It’s about not staying stagnant because there’s no straight lining in life
Like plants, we’re either growing or dying.
To take the opportunity to paint on the canvas of our minds the life we want
Because nothing is impossible
And we can design the lifestyle we want to live whenever we want
although that doesn’t mean we’ll have that lifestyle right this second
But with time, if we never give up, we will.
