480. Cheat Meals and Self Control

Self control – it’s a difficult thing no question about it 

Ever hear about the cheat meal? One meal per week, you can eat anything you want; some even do a whole day. 

The thinking is that if you’re eating 6 out of 7 days, you’re still ahead. 

It sounds like a dream, have you ever tried it? If so, you know the truth. 

Each cheat meal or cheat day we eat ourselves sick. 

Eventually, we’re willingly abstaining from cheating at all – we don’t need it and definitely don’t want it. 

Kind of like a parent catching a child smoking and making them eat the whole pack. 

Connecting the so-called temptation with its actual effects. 

We know now that indulging may actually be worse than resisting… 

the urge that begins to lose its appeal. 

Leading to self-control becoming the real pleasure
