“I didn’t know”
Or any version of that..
It’s a cop-out
“I didn’t plan appropriately”
At least we’re owning up to something
Then, we have an opportunity to make it right.
“I didn’t know what I was getting into, and fell on my face, but I got back up and figured it out using different resources. It wasn’t easy but I’m proud of the effort I gave because I really did try and you can see that through my actions”
“I didn’t know and I wasn’t ready”
One’s owning up to the fact, and the other is writing it off – it’s no big deal
Small but major Differences, maybe not to us, but to others
and sometimes, that’s what’s important
