873. Trunks and branches

The trunk is the main structure of a tree, holding everything up.

The branches protrude out of the trunk, some here some there. New growth, old growth, old or new, long – whatever.

And with life

Are we focusing on the branches or the trunk of things?

For example: healthy eating

We know junk food is bad for us, that’s a trunk. A principle that’s true. Same goes for eating fruits and vegetables.

A branch would be something like the keto diet or how to cut a certain vegetable – details that change

So when we learn something, it’s important to focus on more trunks than branches.

It doesn’t work out as good the other way around.
