5. Date Nights

After a while with somebody (girlfriend or spouse) some people may take them for granted or get into a routine or in a rut of some sort – doing the same thing over and over.

It takes work to keep any relationship going, it just doesn’t happen.

A way to keep things new is to have a goal to hit a certain amount of dates per year or month – from a significant other / boyfriend girlfriend/ husband wife perspective

Personally, we do 36 dates a year, 3 times a month.

We take turns on who’s in charge of planning the date.

Some rules apply, the dates typically end up being a surprise of some sort with the other not knowing what’s going on

Another is what our max budget per date is – we typically like to keep it as low cost as possible.

Make your own numbers up

Make your own memories up and tweak this to your liking

But it takes work to keep the relationship going – if you both want it to happen and this is a great way to keep newness within.

Get to work, so you don’t wake up one day and say, “I don’t know what happened”
