If someone does something we don’t like – do we say something?
a dichotomy:
One end of the spectrum: say something over every little thing.
“Don’t look at me like that”
“Don’t do that like that”
The other end: don’t say anything at all.
*someone is burning down your house*
*bullying another person*
When do we speak up and when do we not?
It’s a balance.
But when we decide to speak up, maybe we can reflect on WHY we felt that we had to speak up.
Because if we can speak up less and less, we can have time and energy to do other things, our focus can go elsewhere
A side note: it’s not being passive about it, no one likes that.
it’s being focused on what we’re doing and where we are going, not worrying about other people, unless of course the time is right to speak up.
