397. Let’s be different, not sorry

December 5, 2021 ~ Joey D ~ Leave a comment

We don’t have to see eye to eye.  That’s one of the reasons we’re unique. We can see the same thing and interpret it totally different.  It’s not about winning me to your side of thinking , or you to mine.  Understanding and appreciating our differences - not about being sorry

396. It’s not for us to judge

December 4, 2021December 3, 2021 ~ Joey D ~ Leave a comment

She shouldn’t be doing that, that’s against our culture  He should be doing this; that’s how it’s done.  Well let’s wait for a second,  We don’t know their circumstances What situation they’re in, what they’re dealing with..  And we have the audacity to say what they should or shouldn’t be doing - could or could … Continue reading 396. It’s not for us to judge

395. Win the second

December 3, 2021December 2, 2021 ~ Joey D ~ Leave a comment

Winning the second is making the best decision we can at the moment, with what we got.  I have 2 hours of free time - am I going to watch TV or work out?  I can go this way or that way - which way am I gonna go?  Sometimes winning the second isn’t as … Continue reading 395. Win the second

394. Not enough time ?

December 2, 2021November 30, 2021 ~ Joey D ~ Leave a comment

I don’t have enough time  But we all have 24 hours in a day, that’s a fact  So how don’t I have enough time? Choice.  Everything I choose to do - or not to do - is a choice  All within my control  I don’t have enough time to spend with family  I don’t have … Continue reading 394. Not enough time ?

393. How we say things

December 1, 2021November 29, 2021 ~ Joey D ~ Leave a comment

There are different ways to say things  "You never do the laundry"  "Hey if you notice the laundry is finished, could you spend a quick 5 minutes laying it out?" Both ways are trying to ask for help with the laundry.  Which is the better way to ask so we don’t ruffle any feathers?

392. Imagination

November 30, 2021November 28, 2021 ~ Joey D ~ Leave a comment

When we were kids, what did you imagine?  Maybe we played games in our mind or visualized ourselves becoming an astronaut  Endless hours passed and all ya had was a box… Imagination, where did it go?  Better go find it

391. Appreciate ya

November 29, 2021November 27, 2021 ~ Joey D ~ Leave a comment

How many times do we say that? Appreciate you for thinking of me  Appreciate you for trying your best  Appreciate you for showing up Vs how many times do we put people down?  Do this Do that  This is how you do it You can’t wear that  Bringing people up is an art, let’s keep … Continue reading 391. 390. Mental growth until it works

November 28, 2021November 26, 2021 ~ Joey D ~ Leave a comment

Physically, it’s simple to challenge ourselves not easy  We just have to do physically hard things.  Workout, lift heavy stuff, stretch our muscles and joints, run.. That last part - running.  At first glance, it’s a total physical activity  But what about running in the rain? Or when it’s cold, hot, windy, what about running … Continue reading 390. 389. Challenging ourselves

November 27, 2021November 25, 2021 ~ Joey D ~ Leave a comment

This is where growth happens, when we challenge ourself Can I really do this?  And giving it our all, really trying to do what we set out to do  If we fall up short? We take notes and try again  But if we complete it? We set out to do something more difficult - we … Continue reading 389. Challenging ourselves

388. Even if we’re tired

November 26, 2021November 25, 2021 ~ Joey D ~ Leave a comment

We can still try our best even if we're tired  Because it's trying the best at the moment with what we got,  It may not be our best best, but it's the best that we can do right now
