There’s this story that could resonate with anyone, and if we can absorb this principle then maybe our lives would be different
There was this man who was playing with his children, wetting them with the hose.
The wife calls everyone in for dinner, and without even thinking the husband and kids drop the hose and start running inside
At first the man thinks, it’s just a hose who cares I’ll do it later.
But then his boss voice comes in and says that ‘it’s not just a hose, where else are you taking that mindset and applying it into your life? With your kids? Work? Wife?’
It’s not just a hose because how we do anything is how we do everything.
Are we someone who half asses a lot of shit?
Or do we try our best with everything we do?
One will prevail over the other.
I want to be the person who tries my best with everything I do, even if it’s just a hose, the trash, or the dishes.
